Continuous sand filter 

The fundamental principles of continuous sand filter operation are uneven and gravity flow. Raw water is distributed through the inlet connections on the top of the filter evenly in the inner bed of the filter by a distributor and is purified along with the upward flow in the sand bed. At the same time, the purified water comes out through the top outlet. The system for collecting suspended particles of dirty slurry transfers it from the bottom of the filter to the hydropneumatic salt grain. By using the water level difference in the filter and the salt grain, simultaneously the slurry is washed in the spiral ends of the salt grain, the grains are directed into the filter and the dirty water is removed from the filter. While the clean sand returns to the sand filter bed, the dirty water is carried out through the outlet pipe. As a result, there is continuous downward circulation in the filtration bed simultaneously with the water treatment and sand backwashing processes.
